HIMLEY Cricket Club are actively looking for star players of the future by staging junior coaching sessions at Dudley College and Ellowes Hall School over the next couple of months.

Coaching commences this Friday and sessions will be split into three age groups.

The U9s and U10s will meet at the Evolve Building, at Dudley College, from 6.30pm to 8pm before the U14s , U15s and U16s follow from 8pm until 9-30pm.

At the same time, the U11s, U12s and U13s will be at Ellowes Hall, from 7pm until 8.30pm.

All sessions will be led by ECB qualified and CRB checked cricket coaches.

Himley will be looking to continue their highly successful campaign from last season when their U13 side were crowned Midland champions and went onto represent Staffordshire in the ECB National competition at Shrewsbury School, where they finished fourth.

The U16s also celebrated as Lord’s Taverners Midland champions, with Ollie Westbury, now a first team regular with Himley, being named North Worcestershire’s Player of the Year.

The younger sides also tasted success with the U9 Lions unbeaten in all 16 softball games
