STOURBRIDGE Running Club member Joan Clarke completed her 100th marathon at the weekend.
Her milestone marathon was the Shakespeare Marathon at Stratford-Upon-Avon last Sunday. She finished in a time of 3 hours 58 minutes, just behind fellow team member Rob Colman who had a time of 3:21 in 93rd position overall and ahead of Tim Lloydlangston with 4:42.
She said: "The race started in the town centre then went out into the country side. It was very scenic but quite hilly. Out of my 100 marathons I have only done 17 road marathons so this was hard work with lots of runners and some traffic."
A number of Stourbridge Running Club members were there at the finish line to support Joan.
Meanwhile, Chris Blake came sixth for the club at the Wolverhampton Park Run last Saturday. He finished with a time of 17:51 for his first attempt at the weekly 5km held at West Park, Wolverhampton. Dave Rose finished 14th with a new PB of 19:32 and third over the line was Adam Harris with a time of 20:08.
Natalie Dellar ran her 50th run there and was awarded with the 50 t-shirt.
