STOURBRIDGE Running Club had 20 members competing in the annual Welsh Castle relay race last weekend.
The two-day event takes in 20 stages and covers 211 miles.
The first day saw the team finish in 58th place overall. Tony Warner ran the first leg from Caernarfon Castle to Penygroes in 1:05 and finished in 21st place.
Nearer to home, last week was the second race in the Worcester County summer mid-week series, a 12km multi-terrain race.
Organised by Bromsgrove and Redditch Athletic Club in Redditch, it incorporated the Worcestershire Multi Terrain Championships.
First home for the club in 14th place was Pete Walters with a time of 52:31 before Adam Harris 57:47 (41st) and David Sheppard 61:19 (62nd). Joan Clarke finished with a time of 64:27 and was first in the Female 50 category.
Stourbridge Running Club's annual 10k Stourbridge Stumble takes place Saturday, August 9.
The popular multi-terrain race will start at 6pm from Mary Stevens Park, Stourbridge.
