HIMLEY must now build on last weekend's encouraging performance, says captain Greg Wright.
The Stourbridge Road side claimed a losing draw away against Barnt Green last Saturday and Wright feels it is the perfect opportunity for his side to take some important strides forward.
A 65 from Worcestershire's Tom Kohler-Cadmore helped Himley to a total of 171 after being put into bat during a rain-interrupted contest.
Barnt Green then reached their revised total in reply to claim the winning draw.
However, despite failing to lift them from the foot of the Birmingham Premier Division, it was the natural of the display that has encouraged Wright ahead of this Saturday's game against Walsall, who themselves sit third from bottom.
He said: "We really competed well despite not having the best of luck with the conditions and the toss. On another day we could have got the winning draw ourselves.
"We now have to look to build on that performance and back it up with a similar showing against Walsall.
"We are now entering a run of games that will give us the opportunity to pick up some more points.
"If we perform to the level we know we are capable of then there is no-one in this league that we need to fear.
"I think last weekend's performance is an important on psychologically for the team. We now have to get that win or a positive result in time for us to be able to save our season
Himley are set to see the return of both Ben Smith and Oli Westbury for this Saturday's clash and are again hopeful of having the services of Kohler-Cadmore.
