CHAIRMAN Trevor Thomas thinks Cradley Town are in a false position.
Despite sitting fifth from bottom in the West Midlands League, the Hammers recorded back-to-back victories before drawing 1-1 with league leaders AFC Bridgnorth last Saturday.
It took a goal in the 87th minute fromGlynn Coney to prevent them from taking all three points. Sam Wilkinson had given them a deserved lead.
"We are definitely in a false position," said Thomas. "We have played a lot of the top sides already so we will hopefully start moving up the league soon.
"We should have won the game against Bridgnorth but threw it away.
"Confidence is very high at the moment and we are moving in the right direction."
Cradley will take on sixth-placed Malvern Town away this Saturday.
"We don't have to fear anyone they way we are playing so hopefully we can keep progressing," added Thomas.
Meanwhile, defender Ian Millington has had to retire due to work commitments.
Nick Ginn remains sidelined with injury but Chris Bladen has now returned from suspension.
