CRADLEY fans have backed the club in numbers for their move to Birmingham’s Perry Barr Stadium next season.

The Heathens will be gunning for a third successive National League title and can press on with team plans after next week’s AGM of clubs.

Club officials are delighted with the response to season ticket sales at their open evening held last Thursday at Cradley Heath Liberal Club.

Boss Will Pottinger said: “It’s really positive that despite the change of home track people are still backing us.

“We were delighted with the turnout we had at the Liberal Club as we launched our season ticket sales, and it’s left us feeling very positive about next year.

“With the change in venue we weren’t entirely sure how people would react and whether we’d get the same support as we have at Monmore, but the early signs are good so we are definitely feeling optimistic.

“Given how long it is until the season starts, having so many people already buying their season tickets just shows how loyal our fans are and how they will back us no matter what.

“The supporters are really important to us, and the way they back us home and away always gives the riders a big boost when they pull on a Heathens race jacket.

“We are hoping we will continue to pull in big crowds even though we’ve moved to Perry Barr and the fans can be a part of another successful year for Cradley in 2015.

“In the meantime we have our Christmas party at the Liberal Club on December 19, so it would be great to see plenty of people there again for what should be an enjoyable night.”

Tickets for the Christmas party – where a rider signing could be announced – are available from the club shop at Printworx on Quarry Bank High Street priced at £5.

They will also be available this Thursday when the club hold their second season ticket sales night at the liberal club.
