TIVIDALE boss Ian Long has called for his side to improve their home form.

They have only won two league games at The Beeches this season and Long has highlighted it as an area for improvement during the second half of the campaign.

After an impressive start to the season, Tivi have now slipped down to 13th after winning just two of their last 11 league games.

Long sighted a lack of real quality in the final third as the main reason for his team's poor run of form but targeted improved home showings as a way to overcome the slump.

The search for a much-needed three points continues after last Saturday's 2-0 away defeat against Leek Town.

Long said: "Our home form needs to improve. Before the season started I thought our home form would be the thing that kept us in this division, but it hasn't been good enough. Even though we have been in most of the games we have played, we haven't ended up getting the results.

"It was fortress here last season and we need to try and recapture that a little."

Tividale were due to take on Norton at home last night before travelling to face third from bottom Market Drayton this Saturday.
