MANAGER John Hill claims he is pleased with his Halesowen Town squad after bringing in three new additions in recent weeks.

The Yeltz have now added young forward Aaron Lloyd from tenants Causeway United after previously welcoming defender Asa Charlton back to The Grove and bringing in pacy attacker Aaron Daniels.

Lloyd played just over 140 games for United, scoring 67 goals in the process.

Hill said: "I am very happy with the squad now. I'm not intending to add anyone else at the moment.

"We have done some good business bringing in the three players we have and can now look to continue our progress.

"Aaron Lloyd is very much one for the future and will play a few games for Causeway as he looks to get fit.

"The squad has done really well so far and I don't think it needs changing any further."

Meanwhile, Hill said he was very happy with Halesowen's points haul over the festive period, especially the way they bounced back from defeat to Marine on Sunday, December 28.

They hit back with a convincing 4-1 home win on New Year's Day and then claimed a good away point at King's Lynn last Saturday.

"The Christmas period was very good for us," said Hill. "We picked up some good points and then bounced back after the defeat against Marine.

"Good runs often come to an end when you least expect it but all comes down to how you react, and we have done really well.

"My aim is to get to the 50 point mark, which would have kept us up last season. It might be that we need even more this season but staying up is what I want to achieve."

The Yeltz will go in search of another key three points when they take on Matlock Town at home this Saturday.

However, they will probably still be without forward Iyseden Christie who is struggling with a hamstring injury.

Late fitness tests will also be given to defenders Joe Hull, Joel Kettle and Aaron Griffiths as the bust festive schedule starts to catch up with Hill's men.

Goalkeeper Matt Sargeant, who has missed the last three games after picking up a knee injury against Stourbridge, is rated as having a 50 per cent chance of playing.
