CRADLEY Town chairman Trevor Thomas has backed the team to move away from bottom end of the table once they get back to playing regular football again.

The Hammers' away game against Haughmond last Saturday fell victim to the weather to leave Duane Darby's men frustrated once more.

They currently sit fourth from bottom in the West Midlands Premier ahead of this Saturday's home showdown with neighbours Dudley Town.

The visitors go into the contest on the back of a confidence boosting success over rivals Dudley Sports.

"It is very frustrating," said Thomas. "We just need to get back to a situation where we can play five or six games in a row. Too many games are being called off and we can't get into our stride.

"We have four or five players out injured and haven't really been able to train either.

"If we can just get back to normal service I'm quite confident will will move away from the bottom of the table. We are in a false position at the moment."
