DUDLEY Sports bagged a hard-fought point against Malvern Town last Saturday.

They drew 2-2 away from home thanks to goals from Lewis Craig and Brett Marshall.

Midfielder Craig bagged his first for the club after being promoted from the team's youth ranks three games ago.

Recent addition Marshall then secured a share of the spoils by netting with his first touch after coming off the bench.

Manager Tony Gore was full of praise for the character his side showed to bounce back from a 7-1 home defeat against leaders Sporting Khalsa last Tuesday.

He said: "It was a really good point for us. Malvern were going along really well but we stood up to the task.

"The previous result against Khalsa was a little unfair on us but the players showed a really good attitude to come back how they did.

"The aim now is to take the Malvern performance and build on it this weekend."

Sports will welcome Bilston Town Community to Hillcrest Avenue this Saturday.

They have been boosted with the arrival of Tyler Douglas from rivals Dudley Town and news that some keys players are available after injury.

Jason Walters has overcome a hamstring injury and Oli Staten can feature again following knee trouble.

Meanwhile, Dudley Town were not in action last week after their last two games were called off due to the weather conditions.

Last Tuesday's home game against Wolverhampton Sporting Community and last Saturday's match at Bewdley Town were both postponed.

The Robins were hoping to return to action last night when they travelled to Shifnal Town. They will now face Wednesfield at the Dell this Saturday.
