GLASSBOYS boss Gary Hackett says he is well into the process of bringing new blood to Stourbridge.

Hackett has admitted this year will be one of his busiest and toughest summers as he looks to rejuvenate his squad after a disappointing campaign in the Northern Premier League.

Stour ended the season in 16th place after winning just one of their final 18 games.

A further blow saw them suffer a 2-0 derby defeat against rivals Halesowen Town during the run-in.

The manager at the Memorial Ground said: "It was clear from last season that changes are needed at the club. It is something we will be working on. We will get it right.

"We are now well into process and are speaking to a number of our targets already.

"I won't discuss targets until the deals are done but we know how we want to strengthen and are already working towards that."

Hackett also said he would be speaking to his current players about their futures at the club within the next few weeks.

"We will be holding discussions with our current players once we have a chance to sit down with them face-to-face.

"Hopefully developments should begin to happen towards the end of the month."

Meanwhile, Glassboys fans are being given the chance to vote for their player of the season now the action has ended.

Votes can be cast through the club's website or one of their social media platforms.

Fans can either send their selection to the club through the contact form on the website, post on the Glassboys' official Facebook page or tweet @SFCOfficial.

Votes must be submitted no later than 7pm on Tuesday, May 19.

The winner will be announced at Stourbridge's annual presentation evening in the Glassboys Bar on Friday, May 22. Advance booking is not necessary and all supporters are welcome to attend. There will be live music and admission is free.
