HIMLEY brought their losing run to an end with victory over Attock last Saturday.

A disappointing start to their campaign in Division One of the Birmingham League has left Himley bottom of the table.

The run has also seen Greg Wright step down as skipper to be replaced by Worcestershire's Tom Kohler-Cadmore.

However, Himley finally got off the mark at home to Attock after bowler Jamie Turner claimed a five wicket haul.

Attock were forced to bat after the hosts won their first toss of the season.

Mohammed Qamar Khan (40) top scored for the visitors before falling to the bowling of Arfan Khan.

Turner claimed his wickets at regular intervals as Attock were bowled out for 161.

Himley's run chase got off to a solid start as openers Kohler-Cadmore and Will Fraine took the score past 50 before the latter fell for 36.

Kohler-Cadmore (44) joined forces with Wasim Jaffer to push the home-side past the 100 mark before his wicket was claimed by Sultan Mahmood.

It was left for Jaffer (52 no) and Wright (27 no) to guide their side over the finishing line for an eight wicket success.

This Saturday will see Himley travel to face Oswestry at Morda Road (noon).
