HALESOWEN'S wheelchair tennis star Jordanne Whiley has successfully defended her Wimbledon crown.
Whiley and Japanese doubles partner Yui Kamiji came out on top after a thrilling contest with Dutch pair Jiske Griffioen and Aniek van Koot at SW19 today.
They won the first set 6-2 before their challengers made it one set all with a 5-7 success in the next.
However, Whiley and Kamiji dug deep in a tense final set to win 6-3 and take home yet more silverware.
They made it to the final after a semi-final success over Britain’s Louise Hunt and Germany’s Katharina Kruger last Friday.
