PROFESSIONAL boxing is set to return to Dudley Town Hall after an absence of more than eight years.

A host of the Black Country's top talent will be on display at the event on Saturday, December 5.

Dudley's Ryan Aston and Tipton's Ricky Summers will both be in action as part of their preparations towards big title fights early next year.

They will jointly top the bill on a night that also sees Priory Park men Les Byfield and Josh Miller take to the ring as well as exciting Halesowen fighter Tyler Denny. All go into the event on the back of last time up victories.

Their opponents are set to be announced closer to fight night.

The event is also being supported by Castle Casino who are offering an after show party featuring live entertainment and a free all you can eat buffet.

Promoter PJ Rowson said: "This is a big event for the town. Historically, Dudley Town Hall has seen some of the very best fighters under its roof, so it is fabulous to be bring the sport back to that venue.

"Ryan Aston and Ricky Summers could well be having major title fights at the start of next year so they need to warm up for those.

"The last thing we want is ring rust to be a factor for them.

"For the other fighters on the card it is all about continuing their progress.

"It is great to have the casino's support as well because that was always a feature of the old fights that used to take place in the town.

"The interest for this has already been massive. It is certain to be a total sell out."
