CRADLEY co-boss Gary Patchett admits it is unlikely any signings will be unveiled prior to the National League's AGM in a fortnight.

However, Patchett has revealed how both he and Heathens team manager Will Pottinger have had lengthy discussions regarding team plans for the 2016 campaign.

After missing out on major silverware in 2015, the Heathens are determined to have a much more positive season.

And with just under two weeks to go until the third tier's AGM, Patchett can't wait to get back into the thick of the action at Wolverhampton's Monmore Green Stadium.

He said: "Will and I have sat down and discussed a number of riders and team permutations but before we start fully building the team I want to know for certain what the rules are going to be for next season.

"Traditionally, I like to wait until the AGM has been and gone before I start showing my hand.

"It appears that a couple of clubs in the National League have already decided what they feel the team points limit is going to be and have started making signings off the back of their own thoughts.

"While we all may anticipate what the rules may or may not be, my experience in the sport tells me that you could be treading on dodgy ground if you head to an AGM expecting the vote to go a certain way.

"Personally I think you're a touch foolish if you make too many concrete plans before an AGM because if things don't transpire the way you expect them to, then you end up having to let a few riders down.

"We've got a rough idea of the sort of direction we want to head in and we know the sorts of riders we want to involve as part of a highly competitive side.

"Going back to Monmore is going to be good for us; It's what our supporters wanted and hopefully they'll turn out in the large numbers we used to see there and get behind the team.

"Racing on alternate Mondays to Wolverhampton gives us that sense of stability for our future if you like.

"While the search for our own land continues, I'd like to think that is an agreement that could continue past this season and again we must sincerely thank Ladbrokes and Chris Van Straaten at Wolverhampton for making it happen.

"And despite my personal issues, we must also thank Birmingham and the GRA for making Perry Barr available in 2015 - without that I'm not sure there would even be a Heathens now.

"But for now we focus on 2016 and I'm looking forward to it."
