HAGLEY Catholic High School sent a girls team to compete at the Schools National Championships.
The annual tournament took place at Queenswood School in Hertfordshire and saw the top 16 girls and boys schools tennis teams from across Great Britain meet to compete for four days of action.
The Hagley girls competed in the Aberdare Cup from Wednesday, July 6 to Saturday, July 9.
The 2016 National Championships saw over 300 school teams compete in knockout rounds which started in March 2016 to try and reach the finals.
After four days of competition, the girls finished fifth overall, which made them the top state school in the UK. They bagged first place out of the 192 state schools who entered the qualifiers.
