TEAM Dudley suffered defeat against Shenstone Pavilion Club for the fifth successive encounter.

Dudley lost 2-0 as their disappointing start to the new season continued.

With no less than 12 away with holiday, injury or work commitments, debuts were handed to Tom Halsey, Jake Bramm and Romario Treasure.

Early on, Dudley were getting use to the pitch with a couple of bobbles not allowing them to get the ball down and play.

James Hill had a couple of early sighters before Tom Halsey sent a deflected free kick just wide of the far hand post.

Hill then had a couple of free kicks bend just wide of the upright, the first of which was given for a foul on Lee Clarke, through on goal, outside the area the defender has brought Clarke down, the referee didn't brandish a card.

Dominating the ball Team Dudley did their best to break down Shenstone but just couldn't get the final touch to score but the first half was a positive one.

Second half and Shenstone came out with a little more battle and Team Dudley were pressed a little more and they got their goal within the first ten minutes as Alex Leonard headed home a corner from six yards out. A bullet header from the Shenstone captain.

Just after the hour mark it was 2-0. Another game when Dudley have conceded straight after the first. Shaq Ohogitere got the ball under control at the back post, cut inside and rolled the ball into the far corner.

Dudley struggled to muster the opportunities required to get back into the game with Shenstone holding out for their victory.

The result leaves Team Dudley bottom of West Midlands League Division One and the only club without a point on the board.

This Saturday they face Wednesfield at home followed by Wyrley away on Bank Holiday Monday.
