CRADLEY are targeting a third straight home victory when they host Eastbourne at Monmore Green in the first leg of their Knockout Cup semi-final tie tonight (7.30pm).

The Heathens will be looking to build up a healthy lead ahead of their trip to Arlington for the second leg on Saturday, October 15.

Heathens No. 1 Ashley Morris is expecting a tough test but admits a double figure advantage is his side’s aim.

Morris said: “Eastbourne have got some good riders and they’ll make it a good night’s racing when they’re in the mix with our boys.

“It’s not going to be easy, but we’ve got a bit of confidence behind us again and we need to make the most of our home advantage.

“We’ve already shown we can beat Eastbourne at home this year and we need to be looking at a good double figure lead to be taking down to their place.

“Every point is going to be really important so hopefully the lads can all put in a solid showing because we really want to make the final.”

With Luke Chessell still sidelined from his crash at Buxton, the Heathens have booked talented showman Danny Ayres to guest at No.3 while Richard Andrews lines-up against his ex employers.

Eastbourne include World Under-21 finalist Adam Ellis as well as former Heathen Ellis Perks. The Eagles have also booked talented youngsters Tom Brennan and Jordan Jenkins as guests for the semi-final first leg.
