OLDBURY boxer Craig Cunningham pulled off an upset by forcing an eighth round stoppage against former Olympian Anthony Ogogo at Birmingham's Barclaycard Arena tonight.
Cunningham, fighting on the undercard of Sam Eggington's clash with Frankie Gavin, handed the 27-year-old his first pro defeat to take the WBC International belt and open the door for some big fights in the Middleweight division.
Cunningham was always the sharper of the two and rocked Ogogo in the second round.
He continued to dominate before Ogogo's corner were forced to withdraw their man due to blurred vision in his right eye.
