JUNIOR Smikle has left Stourbridge to sign for Rushall Olympic.

He originally progressed through West Bromwich Albion's youth set-up, signing a professional contract in the summer of 2005, and he had loan stints with Hereford United and Halifax Town before joining Kidderminster Harriers in the summer of 2006.

He stayed at Aggborough until May 2010, when he signed a one-year deal with Cheltenham Town, playing in all 46 League matches during his first full season with the Robins.

Meanwhile, Stour have brought in Ethan Jones on a month's loan from Shrewsbury Town.

Jones, 18, was on the books of Wolverhampton Wanderers as a youngster but joined the Shrews aged 14, before signing his first professional contract with the club in October 2015.

The Dudley-born striker has made eight appearances for Shrewsbury, including six as a substitute, after making his debut on the final day of last season.
