UNHAPPY Cradley Town boss Andy Wyton bemoaned his side's lack of quality as they crashed to an unexpected 2-0 defeat at home to lowly Smethwick Rangers.
Cradley's defeat was made all the more dismal as it was played out in front of a bumper crowd attending the club's Fun Day.
Wyton said: "If we'd been the only entertainment on offer, then I'd have been asking for my money back!
"We were awful. We didn't create a single chance and we did exactly the same as in recent home games with AFC Bridgnorth and Wellington.
"It looked as though some of my players were already on the beach.
"Quite often this season, we've outworked sides and we've got a very good work ethic. But there's been a real lack of quality in the side as well and unless we play balls over the top for Geoff Hill and Dreniz Bala to chase, then we have nothing.
"It was the same on Saturday against Smethwick. Geoff Hill had nothing to work with and until we get more quality into the side, we won't improve!
Cradley bring down the curtain on this season's West Midlands League Premier campaign when they travel to face a Wolves Casuals side, who are still chasing runners-up spot.
Wyton pulled no punches when he claimed: "We'll need to improve, or otherwise, we'll take a hiding."
