CRADLEY are part of a Bank Holiday double header when they race at Wolverhampton on Monday.

The Heathens face league newcomers Lakeside Hammers, managed by former England skipper Kelvin Tatum, looking to hit back from their defeat against Mildenhall.

It will take place immediately after Wolverhampton’s SGB Premiership encounter with King’s Lynn, which gets underway at 6pm.

Cradley boss Will Pottinger is keen to see his side show some character and bounce back from the defeat against Mildenhall.

They head to Eastbourne on Saturday before returning to Monmore Green on Monday.

Pottinger said: “It certainly won’t be easy because they’ve got some big hitters, and riders like Ben Morley and Zach Wajtknecht are superb at this level.

“We’re expecting another tough meeting, but we’ve got to be looking to get back to winning ways at home, and after having a meeting at Wolves we’ll hopefully be more up to speed.

“We need to get back into a rhythm and back into some form, so it’s an important meeting for us to get back on track.

“We’re looking forward to hopefully having an even bigger crowd than usual with the Bank Holiday double header.

“The support the lads get drives them on, and with it being Bank Holiday we certainly want to put in a good performance in front of them.”

Admission for both meetings are available for the standard Wolves admission price, while Cradley season ticket holders can pay a £5 supplement to allow them to watch both meetings.

A turnstile for those wanting just to watch the Heathens’ meeting will be open from approximately 7.15pm, and the Heathens will also be producing their own programme containing race cards for both meetings.
