STOURBRIDGE have brought forward Jordan Murphy back to the bulb on contract term for the 2017-18 campaign.

The 21-year-old came through the youth ranks at Stourbridge initially and was regularly amongst the goals. The 2013-14 season saw him hit 39 goals as our youth team won the MFYL Premier Division South title and lifted the Worcestershire County Youth Cup. He also made two appearances as a substitute for the first team in home games against Bashley and St Albans City.

His exploits attracted the attentions of league scouts and after impressing in trials, he was signed by Walsall in September 2014. Spells with Worcester City and Kidderminster Harriers have followed.

After being released by Walsall at the end of the 2015-16 season, Murphy linked up again with Kidderminster for the following pre-season and scored the only goal of the game on his return to Amblecote as Harriers won here in the Worcestershire Senior Cup in July 2016. He helped Kidderminster to lift the County trophy later that month, but was then surprisingly not retained by the club and Jordan subsequently joined Worcester City in the National League North for the remainder of last season.
