HALESOWEN Town chairman Steve Lynch will be banned from football activity for two years after an unsuccessful appeal hearing with the Football Association.

The Yeltz were fined and Lynch banned following an investigation earlier this year into rule breaches.

The charges, three for Lynch and nine of the club, include issues surrounding Lynch's former involvement with Eastwood Town and his alleged failure to disclose his interest in the Yeltz at the same time.

Other charges for the club included breaches of rules regarding a loan in 2012 and problems with the reporting of accounts covering from October 2011 to March 2013.

The charges saw the club fined £5,000 with half of that suspended for three years but the chairman appealed against his ban.

However, the ban, which means Lynch can't continue as an officer at the club, will now begin from July 1 after the decision was upheld at the appeal hearing with the FA on Monday.

New chairman Karen Brookes, daughter of president Colin, will now take overall responsibility for the day-to-day operations at the club supported by vice chairman Dave Hawley, general manager Neil Broughton, events manager Emma Broughton and club secretary John Cooper.
