STOURBRIDGE will look to rekindle their promotion push when they go to Brewood this Saturday.

Stour bagged a winning draw against Nuneaton at the War Memorial Ground last weekend but have not tasted victory for four games.

The hosts smashed 294-4 from their 55 overs after losing the toss and being put into bat.

Matt Bradley was the star performer as he powered to a brilliant 42-ball century.

However, Stour were left frustrated in their quest to take maximum points as they failed to bowl out their stubborn opponents.

Jitesh Jivan-Patel (5-56) and Jade Richter (3-59) were among the wickets but Jason Jakeman's unbeaten 82 helped Nuneaton hold on.

Skipper Josh Banks said: "They never came with intentions to win the game. They only wanted to make sure they didn't lose.

"They won the toss and put us into bat and it meant we had to bowl them out to win it.

"We put up a really good effort but just couldn't manage it at the end.

"It's a good winning draw and there were a lot of highlights to take into the next game.

"We're keen to get back to winning ways now and can hopefully do that this weekend."

Stour face fourth-from-bottom side Brewood (noon start) as they head into the final nine games of the campaign.
