DEAN Whitehouse will just be happy to finally see his players in league action when Dudley Town go to leaders Tividale this Saturday.

The new Robins boss says he still needs to assess is squad after more weather disruption last weekend. Town's clash with Bilston last Saturday was again hit by the freezing conditions.

Whitehouse knows all about this weekend's opponents after leading them to a memorable league and cup double in the 2010/11 season but is more focused on learning what is Dudley troops can offer.

He said: "Regardless of the result I'll learn something on Saturday.

"I knew I'd be playing catch-up when I took over but I didn't account for the weather.

"I still need to find out about the players I have so it'll be good to see what we can do against Tividale.

"I'm also looking forward to the game because it's a club I know well and I still have lots of friends down there.

"I've been back a few times and Tividale are a proper non-league club and always give you a warm welcome.

"That'll be forgotten for 90 minutes though as my priority is all about what I can achieve for Dudley Town."

The Robins will then wrap up the year when they welcome Cradley Town to the Handrahan Ground (3pm) on January 30.
