CRADLEY Town have named Ashley Vincent as the club's new first team manager.

The former Cheltenham and Shrewsbury attacker will take on the role at the end of the current season.

Interim boss Richard Forsyth will continue to lead the Hammers into the final weeks of the current campaign.

Vincent has been working with Cheltenham academy's under-16s this season but is keen to take the step into management in the non-league scene.

A club statement read: "He has a passion and drive for developing young players to be the best they can be. His philosophy matching the club's new academy system was key and something we had already began building towards with the interim appointment of Richard Forsyth.

"We are also delighted to announce that joining Ashley will be Marlon Walters and Gareth Rogers as joint assistants. Marlon and Gareth have both played this level and above for many, many years and understand the local league scene very well and compliment Ashley perfectly.

"These appointments reaffirm the new approach the football club is taking and with all of the other changes made and currently underway with the infrastructure, we are hugely excited by the future for Cradley Town."
