BOSS Dave King couldn't hide his frustration at the prospect of Tividale have a break in the fixture list this Saturday.

Tivi saw their Easter programme wiped out by the weather as games against Shifnal on Saturday and Ellesmere on Tuesday were both called off.

A host of previous weather-related postponements now mean Dale face the prospect of fitting in 10 games in the final month of the campaign.

However, they don't have a match scheduled for this weekend and will have to wait until next Tuesday to return to action when Stone Old Alleynians visit the Beeches.

King said: "The forecast looks okay this Saturday but we'll be sitting here without a game. It seems ridiculous.

"You'd like to think something could be done so that we had a game. It's just very frustrating."

The manager is determined to finish the season strongly to secure second place just in case two go up from the West Midlands Premier League this season.

"We don't know what the situation is but there might be an outside chance that two go up," added King.

"We want to end the season well just in case."

Tivi boosted their ranks for the run-in with the capture of defender Ben Birch from Black Country Rangers.

Connor Rich has left to join Dudley Sports' battle to beat the drop.
