DAVE King was full of praise for his Tividale players after they secured a second place finish in the West Midlands Premier League.

Tivi's gruelling end-of-season schedule continued last week with wins over Wellington Amateurs and Black Country Rangers and a loss against Stone Old Alleynians.

The wins were enough for Dale to bag second place before their final league fixture at Ellesmere Rangers on Thursday.

King said: "It's a fantastic achievement from the players, especially after back-to-back relegations.

"They players have turned that around and done brilliantly this season."

Tivi are now waiting to hear if two teams will go up this year.

They also have the chance of ending the season with some silverware in the Premier League Cup.

They host Black Country Rangers in the semi-final this Saturday (3pm kick-off).
