OLD Hill suffered their first league defeat in four games due to a late collapse against Pelsall last Saturday.

Jonathan Wright's men last by just six runs at Haden Hill despite only chasing 115 for victory.

Old Hill had reduced their visitors to a low target thanks to Naqaash Tahir's eight wicket haul.

Keith Moody top scored for Pelsall with 37.

However, the home side were soon struggling in their reply.

They fell to 35-4 after Zain Shahid (1), Harry Baddams (15), Duncan Willetts (0) and Dylan Keeling (12) were sent packing.

Tahir continued to lead the fight with the bat and remained unbeaten on 37 but just couldn't find a partner.

They lost their last three wickets without scoring a run to lose the clash and fall to sixth in Division Three.

They will look to bounce back when they go to fourth-placed Redditch this Saturday.
