DUDLEY Sports boss Tony Gore is targeting a last-ditch swoop to secure five more signings in time for Saturday's season start.
Sports will kick-off the campaign with a trip to Bewdley Town as they look to avoid a repeat of last season's West Midlands Premier League relegation scrap.
Their first home clash see Bilston Town visit Hillcrest Avenue a week later.
Gore said: "It's really hard to know if we'll be ready or not for Saturday.
"It's been a really hectic summer with players coming and going and not knowing if others will be signing.
"We've had a look at a lot of player in pre-season and tried to make the right decision on people.
"I'm still working to get five more players in now and that could have a big say on how we start the season.
"We're talking to them and will have to see if they agree to come in.
"If I can get them then I'll be very, very happy.
"We have a tough start but I can't complain with how pre-season has gone. There have been plenty of encouraging signs and plenty to work with."
