Wren: A solid showing from the new keeper who made a host of neat saves despite his side dominating for long spells. 7.

Hayden: Good energy down the right and chipped in with the all-important opening goal when heading home from a corner. 6.

Brown: Another composed showing after being shifted to full-back. Positioned himself well and was good and strong on the ball when required. 6.5.

McCone: Won his battles all evening and read the game well to earn a clean sheet. 6.5.

Duggan: A confident display from the centre back. Powerful in the air and full of running throughout. 7.

Forde: Tenacious in the middle of the park and won the ball on numerous occasions before also getting his side on the attack. A big part of Stour winning the midfield. 7.

Birch: Another whose work-rate played a big part in Stour's success. Played an important role to press the Stratford defenders high up the pitch in a productive first half. 7.

Broadhurst: Always on option to receive the ball, found space well and was on hand to double his side's advantage. 7.

Benbow: Brilliant showing from the forward. Led the line well and showed fine hold-up play all game. Looks fit and eager and was unplayable at times in the first half as the Glassboys dominated. 8.

Thompson-Brown: A impressive display as he played just behind Benbow. Found space and linked up with both Benbow and Mills to great affect. Glided across the pitch and showed neat touches in tight areas. 7.5.

Mills: The main man as he led Stour's attacking play from the left wing. Had the beating of his full back and has added some much-needed creativity in the wide areas. Score with a sublime curling effort and had a hand in two others. Promising. 8.5.

Subs:

Pierpoint: Replaced Hayden just past the hour mark and added some good energy at just the right time. Quickly got up to speed and won some good tackles. 7.

Evans: A late cameo in midfield from the youngster. Got involved despite only a short time on the field. 6.

Anderson: Dropped deeper to collect the ball and had time for a few good runs after his introduction. 6.

Unused subs: Edmonds-Hill, Maher.
