TIVIDALE boss Dave King hopes his side can get back to winning ways when they face the tough task of Hereford Lads Club.

The Tivi manager was frustrated with not having a match on Saturday following his team’s first defeat of the season on Bank Holiday Monday.

But preparations are well underway for the West Midlands Premier League tie this weekend when Tividale invite the Lads Club to The Beeches.

King said: “It was frustrating not having a match on Saturday, but that’s gone now and we are already looking forward to this weekend.

“We’ve got a clean bill of health, which is good, the only absentee is Demetri Brown who is on holiday – but no injuries as of yet.”

King expects a hard challenge from Hereford Lads Club who will arrive at The Beeches tied on 12 points with Tividale, although the home side have played one game less than their opponents.

The boss added: “We had two tough meetings against them last season – we drew one and lost one, so we know it will be a very tough game.

“They have started the season well, but we know what to expect.”
