Junior swimmers from Halesowen Swimming Club traveled to Cheltenham for the first leg of the PGL swimming league - a return to the competition last hosted in 2020 due to the pandemic.
The youngsters, aged 9-14, competed against three other teams across all strokes including exciting relays, creating a terrific atmosphere around the poolside as competitors were cheered on by their teammates and parents.
“We have tried really hard to develop a greater team ethos at the club over the last few years and the fruits of that are definitely shining through now. We have the best support between teammates and from parents than any other team. It was a joy to witness and to be a part of” commented Head Coach Josh Bradley.
Superstar first timers were nine year olds Joshua Dearn, Olivia Whitehead, Jenson Butler, Harriett Smith, Cameron & Charlotte McLaughlin and ten year olds Olivia Price, Eliza Davies-Miller, Amelia Fowkes, Erin Smith and Evie Wood.
