A bostin night of Black Country boxing is set to take place next Thursday (July 24) when a host of the borough’s best up and coming talent get a chance to showcase their silky skills.

Wolverhampton Civic Hall will be the venue for a bill featuring Stourbridge’s unbeaten Scott Evans and Dudley’s highly-regarded Jamie Ball .

20-year-old Evans will enter the ring with an unbeaten four fight record as he aims to continue his promising progress through the professional ranks.

The heavy fisted Evans will be high in confidence going into the fight following his three round demolition of Amir Nadi in his last outing in April.

Meanwhile, Ball will make his second outing in the professional ranks following his successful debut last month.

The 24-year-old defeated Paul Royston on points on the undercard of Wayne Elcock’s controversial British title success over Dudley’s Darren McDermott.

The quantative surveyor will face the vastly experienced journeyman Peter Dunn in a scheduled six -round contest.

Also on the bill will be Halesowen’s Kevin McCauley who will be looking to chalk up his opening win.

The welterweight lost on his debut bout to Luke Gallear in May so will be looking for a win when he goes head to head with Matt Searwright next Thursday.

Brierley Hill welterweight Martin Gordon will also be striving for his opening win at the seventh time of asking.

Top of the bill will be former British champion Young Mutley who will take on Latvian Savrinovics in a scheduled eight-round welterweight contest.

First Team Promotions’ PJ Rowson is excited to have such a talented crop of Black Country boxers all on the same bill.

He said: “It should be a great night of Black Country boxing with a host of up and coming boxers on show.”

Tickets can be purchased by calling PJ on 07976283157 or the Wolverhampton Civic Hall box office on 08703207000.
