PEDMORE’S hopes of mounting a promotion charge in Crusader Worcester League Division Two suffered a blow with a crushing ten-wicket defeat at Belbroughton.
After being asked to bat only Imran Riaz reached double figures for Pedmore as they were skittled out on a tricky wicket for just 53.
In response, Belbroughton eased to the target in just ten overs.
Pedmore now host table topping Droitwich Spa on Saturday when they will hope to turn things round (1.30pm start).
There was better news for the second XI who remain top of the league having thumped Bromyard by 161 runs.
Batting first Pedmore made a formidable 254-6 with Hipkiss (116) and Horwood (93) starring with the bat. In reply, Pedmore skittled Bromyard out for 93, with B Taylor and U Bilal doing the damage with 4-55 and 4-4 respectively.
Pedmore third XI also had a fine win thanks largely to Paul Maley.
In reply to Pedmore’s 108 all out, Pershore could only manage 79, Maley taking a career best 7-24 to secure a comfortable victory.
