Fallowfield comes through Woodall test

JEREMY Fallowfield came through a tough encounter to claim victory in the first round of Stourbridge Chess Club’s summer tournament.
Fallowfield, the club’s top player, was given a stern test by Colin Woodall but eventually came through to win.
There were also victories for Andrew Moore, Julie Wilson and Don Curry. The next round of the tournament takes place on Wednesday, June 27.
Stourbridge play their annual friendly with Halesowen on July 4, with a raffle and buffet also being held.
