Callum covers himself in glory

HALESOWEN cyclist Callum Ferguson covered himself in glory by finishing 20th in the Junior Tour of Wales at the weekend.
The event, which was based around the Brecon Beacons, attracted a 100 strong field of top junior riders from throughout the UK and Holland.
The Tour comprised of a five-mile prologue time-trial, finishing on top of a famous climb known as The Tumble.
That was followed by a circuit race around Bryn Bach Park and then three road stages, the final one of which consisted of 63 miles, finishing on The Tumble.
Callum, who was representing Halesowen A and CC/Wood & Loines Road Team, finished the first day in 37th spot.
He then produced a storming ride in the circuit race to claim 12th after coming home in the leading group.
Ferguson began the and final day in 27th position but produced a gutsy ride on the road to come home in 16th spot, giving him an overall placing of 20th.
