CRADLEY Town climbed to third place in the West Midlands League this week following their 3-2 success over Ellesmere Rangers.
James Welnitschuk continued his good form in front of goal by netting after just two minutes but Mike O'Reilly quicky levelled for Shropshire based Rangers.
But a second Welnitschuk plus another from Scott Devlin appeared to wrap up the points for Cradley until Rangers staged a late revival with Will Twyford netting them a second goal.
It left Cradley clinging on for the points as Rangers pressed for a late leveller.
Cradley go in search of FA Vase glory this Saturday when they entertain Southam who currently top the Midland Combination.
