DUDLEY Sports snapped up a much needed 2-0 win over Shifnal Town this week to arrest their slide down the West Midlands League Premier Division.
Goals from Jack Hickman and new signing Daryl Charman, a former Swindon Town youngster, did the trick leaving Sports joint boss Tony Gore to claim: "We really needed that. We could have won by more but I'm just grateful we got the three points.
"It's the first time we've picked up three points for quite a while, although I did get three points myself the previous week driving back from Pegasus Juniors!
Gore also brought in another new capture AndreyThompson who was previously playing Sunday football with the Hare and Hounds and the Sports boss claimed: "They both looked very comfortable".
Sports Under-17 and 18 side are through to the next stage of the BCFA Sunday Youth Challenge Cup after beating Trysull Tigers 4-2, Harjen Heer netting twice with Tom Springthorpe and Curt Marsh also on target.
The Under-15's beat Kenilworth Town 2-1 in the MJPL, George Taylor and Lewis Hale on target.
Taylor also struck two in the Under-15's Dynamos 3-0 win over Old Hall Eagles.
The Under-14's beat Forest Falcons 3-1, Peter Johnson, Cameron Wilkinson and Dominic O'Reilly providing the goals.
