TIVIDALE manager Stuart Scriven says his side are embracing the challenge of fighting on three fronts as they get to the business end of the season.
His side are top of the Midland Alliance and are still competing for silverware in the JW Hunt Cup and Walsall Senior Cup.
Tividale maintained their top-of-the table status with a 2-0 away victory over local rivals Causeway United last Saturday. Two second half goals from Leigh Downing gave them a hard-fought three points.
That win came just two days after they had booked a semi-final spot in the JW Hunt Cup thanks to a 4-1 away win against Wolverhampton Casuals.
A Tividale side featuring a total of 10 changes from the last league game overcame Casuals despite being 1-0 behind at half time. Two goals each from youngster Matt Morgan and Garfield Robinson put Tivi through.
The results keep them firmly fighting on three fronts and manager Stuart Scriven said his side are enjoying the challenge.
"It will be difficult to win all three trophies, but it's something we will be aiming to do. Our main priority is the league but it would be very nice if we could pick up some other silverware along the way," he said.
Tividale were due to take on Rocester away in the league last night before travelling to Walsall Wood in the quarter-finals of the Walsall Senior Cup on Thursday night. A busy week will then lead to Tivi playing away at Westfields this Saturday.
Scriven thinks the strength of his squad will give them a big chance of success on more than one front.
He added: "We made a lot of changes in the cup game against Wolverhampton Casuals. We played squad players, recent signings and some young players from our under 18 side. All of them came in and did really well for us. Having that option meant I could rests some other players in preparation for the Causeway game.
"The fixtures come think and fast now, especially because we are in three competitions, but we are going to embrace it and give it our best shot and win as much as possible."
