Causeway prepare for the future

CAUSEWAY United boss Andy Mole will use the rest of the season to try to get his side playing more attractive football.

He was pleased with the way his players coped with a change of system that helped them beat Alvechurch 2-1 at home on Tuesday night.

With sixth-placed Causeway well out of the relegation and promotion picture, Mole thinks it is the perfect time to start to build for the future.

After last weekend's 2-0 home defeat against title-chasing Tividale, United switched to a 3-5-2 formation against Alvechurch to allow the extra men in midfield to play the ball around more.

Mole said: "It took us 20 minutes or so to adapt to the new system, but once we did I think we played some really good football that was a credit to the lads.

"I don't want us to be so one dimensional and want to look with a longer-term view. Now is the chance to start preparing for next season."

Causeway's Ben Evans has gone on loan to Evesham United for the rest of the season.

United will now travel to take on Shepshed Dynamo this Saturday without absent manager Mole. It means assistant Mark Jones will take temporary charge of the side.
