Lloyds and Coseley Tavern to meet in final of Dalley Cup

COSELEY Tavern beat Forest Falcons 8-2 to reach the final of the Dudley and Cradley Heath Sunday League's Dalley Cup.

Darryl Smith opened the scoring for Coseley before Stuart Hillman scored a first half hat-trick.

Coseley then went 5-0 up with a goal from Scott Scriven before Falcons replied quickly with a goal from Alex Smith. Coseley increased their lead again with Hillman's fourth.

Alex Smith then got his second for Forest Falcons, but further goals from Scott Scriven and Darryl Smith sent Coseley into the final.

In the second semi-final, Lloyds beat Halesowen Members 3-2.

Lloyds took control of the first half with goals from Rees Harper and Lee Witts.

In a very competitive second period it was Lloyds who increased their lead early with a goal from Ashley Wallington. This seemed to galvanize Halesowen into action with goals from Conner Houghton and Scott Robinson, but they could not get a third to send the game to extra time.

The Dalley Cup final will be played on Friday, April 11 at Dudley Sports FC (7.30pm ko).

In group two of the John Higham Memorial Trophy, Hadcroft Rovers beat Kewford Eagles Seniors 3-1.

Hadcroft started the game well and took the lead on 16 minutes with a goal from Matthew Chamberlain. Just before half time Hadcroft scored their second through Brian Jones.

Kewford came out strong for the second half and were rewarded when Craig Hunt scored to make it 2-1. However, Hadcroft sealed the game when Brian Jones scored his second to make it 3 - 1.

Meanwhile, King William beat Barley Mow Wanderers 4-2.

Britannia beat Malt Dudley 3-1 in the Ray Turley Memorial Competition

Goals from James Gregg, Richie Collins and Mark Brookes gave Britannia a 3-0 lead at the break.

Malt could not add to Wayne Marsh's second half strike.

In group two, Sedgley White Lion lost 4-0 to Bush Athletic.

In the Premier Division, Pensnett United beat Willenhall Three Crowns 6-1

Pensnett could only field nine men for the game but broke the deadlock on 30 minutes with a goal from Andy Parsons.

Ten minutes into the second half Pensnett increased their lead with a back heal from Arron Lloyd. Willenhall got back in to the game five minutes later with a goal from Adam Powney.

Parson hit his second of the game for Pensnett before Shaun Saunders bagged a 10 minute hat-trick to put the game well out of reach for Willenhall.
