Gore looking forward to taking on top teams

DUDLEY Sports boss Tony Gore is looking forward to testing his young side against the league's top teams after all but securing safety.

Sports beat bottom-of-the-table Bustleholme 5-2 away last Saturday to record their third win in succession. The result sees them move well away from the West Midlands Premier Division drop zone, giving them a ten point gap to second-from-bottom Willenhall Town.

Gore's players now face tough tests against teams at the opposite end of the league. This Saturday's home game against Pegasus Juniors will be followed by Black Country Rangers at home the following Tuesday and a trip to take on Wolverhampton Casuals on April 12.

He said: "The games will be difficult but it is a good time to test ourselves. It will be a good challenge for our young lads.

"We have actually taken quite a few points from many of the top teams this season, so we know we are capable."

Gore has also hailed the impact of two new signing. Richie Jones has scored three goals in two games after moving to the club from playing Sunday league football and Jordan Harrison has made a good impression after joining Dudley from Wolverhampton Casuals.
