MIDLAND Alliance champions Tividale have got a league and cup double firmly in their sights.

They will look to cap off a brilliant season by beating Sporting Khalsa in tonight's final of the JW Hunt Cup.

Tivi will aim to add the cup to their Alliance crown when they fight out the final against the West Midlands Regional League outfit at Wolverhampton Wanderers' Molineux Stadium (7.30pm kick off).

Club secretary Leon Murray says the players are keen to end their memorable 2013/14 campaign on a high.

He said: "We have a full-strength squad to choose from and everyone has been training well. It would be great to finish off the season by winning the cup.

"It has worked out really well. All the players are keen to play in the final and we can hopefully enjoy the game now that the celebrations from our league win have all died down.

"There is just one game to go and one game to focus on and everyone seems relaxed.

"Historically, Tividale seem to win two or three trophies rather than just one, so hopefully that will be the case once again."

The side from The Beeches made it to the JW Hunt Cup final after beating former tenants Black Country Rangers 2-0 in the semi-finals at Wolverhampton's Castlecroft Stadium a fortnight ago.

It has now been announced that Tividale will play in the Northern Premier League Division One South next season.

Their first foray into step four football will see them travelling as far north as Yorkshire as their distance to away games almost doubles compared with the miles they had to cover this season.

However, the league, which was won by Halesowen Town this campaign, does provide a few relative local games at the likes of Sutton Coldfield Town, Stafford Rangers and Chasetown.

That extra travelling time will make it difficult for some players to commit to the club for the 2014/15 season.

"We are hopeful that we will be able to keep most of this side together but it is inevitable that some won't be able to take on the extra travelling that is required," added Murray.

"That is why this cup final means even more. It could be the last time that some of this team play together."
