TIVIDALE players have returned for pre-season training ahead of the new season.

They were put through their paces by manager Ian Long and his coaching team last Thursday as the squad prepares to make its mark in the Northern Premier League Division One South.

The double-winning side was joined by an array of new additions.

The Beeches outfit has been boosted by the recent arrivals of Will Tibbetts, a talented wide player formerly of Bromsgrove and Causeway, and Lewis Taylor-Boyce, a free-scoring strong forward who impressed at Walsall Wood with his goals and assists.

Familiar names Ashley Jackson and Danny Ashton have also signed up for the coming campaign. Jackson joined the squad last season and impressed from the start with his goals and general play.

Ashton previously represented Tividale in 2012 before signing for Chasetown and was Tipton Town's top scorer last season.

They have followed last week's new arrivals Nigel Penny, Jordan Archer and Jamie Willets.

Ian Long is now the sole manager of the team after joint manager Stuart Scriven stepped down due to increased work and family commitments. Long accepted the offer to continue in his role as first team manager with Richard Colwell and Chris Walwyn remaining in their respective coaching positions as the club looks forward to its first ever season at step four football.
