STOURBRIDGE have moved quickly to replace full-back Netan Sansara by agreeing terms with Matt Wood.

The pacy left-sided player, 25, has agreed non-contract terms with the Glassboys after stints with league rivals Rushall Olympic and also AFC Telford.

He joined Rushall Olympic in the summer of 2013 from Witton Albion after spending three years with the Cheshire outfit.

Hailing from Shropshire, he originally progressed through the ranks at AFC Telford United before moving to Colwyn Bay in the summer of 2008. A year later he transferred to Curzon Ashton before signing for Hednesford Town in March 2010.

A few months later though he joined Witton Albion in the Northern Premier League First Division North. By the end of the 2011/12 campaign he had already racked up 100 appearances for the club as Witton won promotion to the Premier Division via the play-offs. He was also named in the First Division North's divisional team of the season awards as left-back.

A firm fans favourite at Wincham Park, the following season the Cheshire side finished fourth in the Premier Division but lost to FC United of Manchester in the play-off semi-finals. Wood was again recognised for his performances by being named in the Premier Division's team of the season.

He is seen as a replacement for Sansara after the defender left Amblecote last week due to personal reasons.

The 2012/13 Stourbridge youth team captain Kieran Morris has signed a one-year extension to his contract at Brentford. This will be the young defender's second year at the Football League club.

Last season's youth team top scorer Jordan Murphy has been invited to a two week trial at Bournemouth from July 6.

The club has announced that admission charges for league games in the forthcoming season will be held at the same prices as last season. There is also no change in pricing for season tickets.

Players were due to report back for pre-season training today and will play their first pre-season friendly at Bewdley Town on Saturday, July 12 (3pm) before hosting Kidderminster Harriers at the War Memorial Ground the following Tuesday (7.45pm).
