Tividale FC manager Dean Whitehouse has been a busy man this summer as he prepares for his first full season in charge.

Whitehouse took over the reigns from the out-going Ross Hill last December and found life difficult for the remainder of the season as his side were unable to find their form.

The boss, however, is expecting a lot more from his Tivi side this year after assembling a strong looking squad for their West Midlands Premier Division campaign.

Whitehouse has signed centre halves Robert Blair (Dudley Town) and Danny Mason (Bustleholme) as well as strikers Anthony Cox (Dudley Sports) and Nicky Turton (Gornal Athletic).

Other newcomers to the Beeches are left back Mitchell Lester (Dudley Sports), midfielder Leon Bedworth (Continental Star) and goalkeeper Jay Trav (Dudley Sports).

The boss has been happy with the wheeling and dealing he has been able to do.

He said: “Everything has gone well and we have got a good nucleus of a squad.

“We’ve been able to bring in some very good players and I feel this is now the time to start judging me because this is now my side.

“We haven’t finished yet either and I’m still on the lookout for a couple more players with a ball winning midfielder being the priority.”

Whitehouse will get the chance to see his new look side in action for the first time this Saturday when they travel to Midland Combination outfit Coton Green FC, who are now managed by former Dudley Town boss Mark Kavanagh.

As well as a fresh feel on the pitch Whitehouse has also made changes off the field too.

Lee Rollinson will now take up a player coach role while Mark Simms has been named club captain.

One role the manager is looking to fill is the position of kit man, anyone interested should contact Whitehouse on 07717335912.
