D-DAY is approaching for Halesowen Town boss Morell Maison as he prepares to fight a possible suspension from football.
Maison’s appeal against an FA disciplinary panel decision banning him from all football and football-related activity until June 2010 will be heard on Monday.
If upheld the ban could spell disaster for the club and Maison, who is major shareholder at The Grove.
It was initially imposed after he was found guilty on charges of violent conduct and failure to provide information by the panel in March. He was also fined £250.
The charges related to an incident after the Yeltz game at Chippenham Town last September in which Maison was involved in a dramatic on-field clash with striker Dean Brennan.
Police investigated the matter after Brennan, now at Corby Town, made a complaint of assault, though no criminal charges were brought.
The club has employed legal firm Football Factors to help fight the appeal on their behalf.
On Wednesday the Yeltz also confirmed they will not appeal against the three-point deduction imposed by the FA for fielding an ineligible player.
The club had until Friday to lodge an objection against the penalty which related to defender Lee Canoville who, the FA claim, was still under contract with former club Grays Athletic when he made his Yeltz debut.
