MORE than 100 fans attended last Wednesday’s meeting of the Yeltz Trust at Halesowen Members Club.
The Trust is being set up to safeguard the future of the troubled club and start rebuilding its status within the community.
The Yeltz have been dogged by a series of controversies in recent months and were recently banned from next season’s FA Cup.
Trust board member Paul Floud, a former vice-chairman at the Grove, said the turnout at the meeting had been very encouraging.
He said: “It was a very positive meeting, I think it proved the feeling in the town now is to keep the club going.
“Our aim is not to drag the club through the mire but to raise funds and make sure there is always a football club to support in Halesowen.
“We need to win back the confidence of all the sponsors and the community of Halesowen - it is their club. ”
